In the 1990s, the Yuzhou Computer City, located in Shiqiaopu, Chongqing, became the city’s first major hub for digital products. Over the following two decades, the Shiqiaopu computer market successively attracted several well-known domestic digital plazas, including Bainaohui, Taixing, and Cyber, as well as the Baiteng Digital Plaza. As a result, Shiqiaopu developed into the largest computer market not only in Chongqing but also in the broader Southwest China region.

According to available sources, the Chongqing Baiteng Digital Plaza is situated in Shiqiaopu, the core IT commercial district of the city. It is currently the largest specialized marketplace for computers and digital products in Southwest China, offering the most comprehensive range of goods and the most complete supporting facilities. The plaza officially opened on June 16, 2007.
