Founded in 1998, Changsha Guochu Computer City is located at No. 103 Chezhan Road, southwest of Changsha Railway Station. It is a centrally affiliated state-owned enterprise in Hunan Province and serves as a major distribution center for computer products in the region.
With a total operating area of 31,000 square meters, the complex features a well-organized and functionally diverse layout. The first floor houses brand-name stores, consumables vendors, and digital product retailers. The second floor consists of specialty shops, components vendors, and software retailers. The third floor includes additional components vendors, networking products, a computer repair center, and a second-hand market. The fourth floor is designated for office use, while the fifth floor serves as a storage area. The facility is also equipped with a large parking lot and warehouse spaces.
The center accommodates more than 500 vendors and provides over 8,000 jobs. It promotes integrity in business practices and introduced an advance compensation system for consumer protection. In 2002, it was featured on CCTV News Broadcast. It participated in the establishment of a Credit Demonstration Commercial District in Furong District in 2021, and implemented normalized COVID-19 prevention and control measures in 2020.
As a principal venue, it hosted events such as the inauguration ceremony of Changsha Chaoyang Electronic Technology Street in 2001, and it has also planned to establish a branch in the Hexi University Town area.
