Tianhe Computer City (officially Guangzhou Tianhe Computer City Co., Ltd.) was registered and established in December 1999 with a registered capital of RMB 5 million. The company is located at No. 502 Tianhe Road in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and primarily engages in IT mall operations and property management services. The mall officially commenced operations in 2000.
The main building consists of seven floors, accommodating a range of business formats including brand-name retail outlets, digital accessories, and repair services. Authorized dealers of major brands such as Lenovo and HP operate within the complex. Supporting facilities include dining and logistics services. The site benefits from strong transportation connectivity, located adjacent to Line 3 of the Guangzhou Metro and more than twenty bus routes.
The mall adopted a vertically zoned commercial layout and promoted a “transparent consumption” model. It recorded an average daily foot traffic of 20,000 to 60,000 visitors, with its core customer base consisting of white-collar workers earning over RMB 2,500 per month and holding at least a college-level education.
In 2019, the company underwent an equity restructuring, after which Fan Guoqiang became the controlling shareholder and the firm was reclassified as a natural person–controlled enterprise. During its operation, the company was involved in several labor dispute cases, including litigation with employees between 2017 and 2018. According to its 2024 annual report, the number of insured employees had dropped to zero, while the asset-liability ratio had reached 94.3%.
