Wuhan Computer World is located at No. 131 Luoyu Road in Hongshan District, Wuhan. It lies adjacent to Wuhan University and directly across from Central China Normal University, occupying a position at the gateway to Optics Valley (Guanggu). The site sits at the core of a long-established “technology street” with nearly two decades of history, where computer retailers are densely concentrated. Surrounding it are multiple electronics markets, including Nanjie Computer Plaza, Luojia Computer City, and Huazhong Digital Computer City. The broader area is also encircled by major universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, and Wuhan University, as well as large commercial complexes like Asia Trade Plaza and Chicony Plaza.
The project was initiated in 1997 by Wuhan Honggang Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., a Hong Kong–invested joint venture. The commercial mall began leasing and operations in 1998, and the office tower was put into use in 2000. It is the only large-scale computer technology complex in Wuhan with independent property ownership.
The main building rises to 20 floors and integrates retail and office functions. Floors 1–6 house a large-scale IT electronics market with over 15,000 square meters of retail space and more than 500 vendors. Floors 7–19 are dedicated to office spaces, totaling 18,000 square meters and accommodating over 100 companies, with an occupancy rate exceeding 95%. The total gross floor area reaches 35,000 square meters.
The building is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure, including central air conditioning, emergency power generators, fire control and surveillance systems, infrared monitoring, five passenger elevators, one freight elevator, and four escalators.
