Pacific Digital Plaza, operated by the Pacific Technology Development Group, is a major distribution hub for IT products. It has established six modern, smart computer malls across Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing, bringing together more than 2,000 IT vendors. The complex has played a significant role as a key IT distribution center in North, East, and South China.
In Guangzhou, Plaza A and Plaza B opened in 1994 and 1997, respectively. Plaza B ceased operations at the end of February 2018 and was subsequently redeveloped into a food court. In Shanghai, Phase I opened in 1998, followed by the official opening of Phase II in 2001. Located in Xujiahui—one of Shanghai’s prime commercial districts and a major distribution hub for computers and digital products—the complex is one of the largest digital computer malls in East China, offering a wide range of IT, digital, and communication products catering to diverse consumer groups.
At present, Floors 1–4 of Guangzhou’s Plaza A remain in operation, maintaining a focus on digital product retail. In contrast, Shanghai’s Phase II was demolished and rebuilt in 2015, and later upgraded in 2021 into Pacific Technology Plaza. The redeveloped complex is positioned as a global, cutting-edge technology experience center, integrating brand showrooms, smart living applications, and entertainment-oriented spaces.
